Zyvex Technologies was founded by James R. Von Ehr II in 1997. Zyvex was the first molecular nanotechnology company. The company provides provide tools, instrumentation, and applications to serve the semiconductor and advanced research markets. The is a privately held company.

The company is based out of Texas, USA. A component of Zyvex technologies – Zyvex Asia has an office based in Singapore. Zyvex Performance materials has spun out of Zyvex technologies and has an office located in Columbus, Ohio. The company employs more than 50 people and also has offices in Bothell, Washington, and Rapid City, South Dakota.

Zyvex Performance Materials has developed a broad product portfolio of nano-enhanced products. Zyvex Performance Materials also provides their molecular chemistry services to a variety of materials companies seeking to introduce nano-enhanced products to their portfolio.

Zyvex Labs develops and manufactures products for microassembly, electron optics, ion optics and photon optics.

The company concentrates mostly on the markets in USA and Asia.

Strategic partners 

Zyvex Labs is the Founder and Manager of the Atomically Precise Manufacturing Consortium (APMC). The members of this consortium include ICSPI (Integrated Circuit Scanning Probe Instruments), General Dynamics, National Institute of Standards & Technology, North Texas RCIC, University of Central Florida, University of Illinois, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at Dallas, Vought Aircraft, Institute of Materials Research & Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, and University of New South Wales. In 2008, the company entered into OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) partnership with Magma. Zyvex and Arkema entered into a partnership for jointly developing nanomaterial applications. It also entered into a strategic partnership with Frost & Sullivan to leverage their respective resources.
